The Complete Guide to St George and the Dragon

The epic battle between Saint George and the Dragon has been a staple of mythology and of British coinage for hundreds of years.

According to the story, the dragon initially demanded tribute from a village, when they ran out of livestock and valuables they began offering a human sacrifice each year. This arrangement was tolerable for the villagers until a princess was selected as the next offering. At this point Saint George intervened, rescuing the princess and slaying the dragon.

The silver series started in 2024 and the number of final coins in the collection is currently unknown.
