The Chiwoo Cheonwang Series of silver bullion medals offers a new design on the reverse each year. 

Chiwoo Cheonwang is depicted each year in a progressive design, the first four issues followed him as he prepared to take his forces into battle, rode into battle on his horse, and eventually surveyed the aftermath of one of his latest victories.

Privy Variations


In 2018 KOMSCO introduced privy marks inspired by the ZI:SIN collection (also from KOMSCO).


Three characters from the ZI:SIN Series are now available as a privy on the Chiwoo Cheonwang medal, Scrofa, Gallus and Canis.

Other Weight Variations


1/2oz - In 2017, 2018 & 2019 KOMSCO released a 1/2oz Chiwoo Cheonwang Silver Medal. Containing 0.5oz of .999 fine Silver, a thickness of 2.3mm and a diameter of 28mm, these were released with a limited mintage each year.

2oz - 2018 marked the first ever release of the 2oz Silver Incuse Chiwoo Cheonwang. Containing 2oz of .999 fine Silver and featuring an incuse finish (A element of design or lettering that is in a sunken form, i.e. not raised). Released with a limited mintage of 15,000.

10oz - The obverse face of 10 oz South Korean Silver Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals comes with the image of Do ggae bi. This figure is used on the shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang and features on the obverse of all medals in this series, as well as select other programs from KOMSCO.  Value 10 Clay,  Composition Silver (.999), Weight 311g

    • Statue - The popular Chiwoo Silver bullion series is now available as a statue, released by KOMSCO mint for the first time. Available in 15oz and 30oz, in 0.925 silver with extremely limited mintage.


    Doggaebi Shield - Introduced by KOMSCO in various sizes including 1/2oz and 2oz, and later in 2021, a 1kg .999 pure silver edition was released. The Shield features a negative imprint of the main face on the obverse, enabling it to interlock with others for stackable storage. The design mirrors that of the Chiwoo Cheonwang shield found in the rounds collection.
