The Complete Guide to the Queens Beasts
Statues of ten heraldic beasts stood guard at the entrance to Westminster Abbey as the world watched the coronation of Her Majesty The Queen in 1953. Those creatures have been reimagined on the coins in The Queen’s Beasts Collection, which tell the stories of ancient symbols of ancestry and power through a series of designs by Jody Clark.
Bullion versions were available exclusively as 2 oz and 10 oz silver coins.
Proof versions featured a higher-quality finish and were struck in 1 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, 10 oz, and 1 kg silver formats.
No 1 oz or fractional silver bullion coins were produced in this series, unlike the gold versions, which included 1 oz and ¼ oz options.
